Place Name
This road was laid out on land belonging to the West Ham Gas Works and was, until fairly recently, an access road to an industrial estate. Previously unnamed, it was given its new name some time in the 1990s after a former member of the London Borough of Newham transport policy team who died in 1990 from a brain tumour, aged around 40 years old.
