St James’s Cottages, TW9

Place Name

Apart from the fact it is a cul-de-sac off Paradise Road, there doesn’t appear to be any obvious reason for the name of these cottages first occupied in 1884. It may possibly be named after the wealthy area of Westminster or after the Saint who was one of Jesus’s disciples and the first to be martyred.
