Worple Way, HA2

Place Name

Agricultural heritage. A worple is a common term in south east English road names as it refers to an ancient bridleway that runs between fields usually connecting two villages. In this case however it appears to be an affectation, since no distinctive path is featured on any of the early maps of the area.
