Elizabeth Woodville (about 1437 – June 8, 1492) was the widow of Sir John Grey who died at the Second Battle of St Albans. Elizabeth then married the Yorkist Edward IV from 1464 until his death in 1483 during which time he lost and regained the throne. She was the mother of the princes in the tower and Elizabeth of York who married Henry VII. This is one of a number of local roads named after players and events of the War of the Roses in reference to the Battle of Barnet.
