Place Name
Most likely named after mercer Sir Ralph Warren (c. 1486 – July 11, 1553), a former Lord Mayor of London in 1536 – 1537 and again in 1544. Warren bought the Manor of Ruckholt in 1546 and named the property Warren House. It has also been suggested that the rabbit warrens of Ruckholt Manor were located here and the name survived in field names.
