The first person singular of the Latin word vincō, meaning conquer. So in this case meaning I conquer, I defeat, I vanquish. Most famously used by Julius Caesar when he said: “Vēnī, vīdī, vīcī.” I came, I saw, I conquered. Before its post Second World War development this was originally an orchard.
