Place Name

Named after Sir Thomas Savage (circa 1586 – November 20, 1635), who owned a house on the site of Trinity House in the 1620s. In 1626 he was made Commissioner of Ways and Means of Increasing the King’s Revenue, helping Charles I sell off this properties. He died diagnosed with the “running gout” aged 49.
