Perham Road, W14

Place Name

Lady Hannah Maria Perham Palliser (October 27, 1843 – August 28, 1923) was the eldest daughter of George Perham and wife of Sir William Palliser who developed Fulham’s North End estate and probably the man who named it Baron’s Court. The couple married in November 1868 and went on to have five children. A great beauty in her day, in 1864 she modelled for Sir John Everett Millais’s painting Charlie is my Darling. Several streets on the estate are named, like this one in 1877, after family connections.
