Olyffe Avenue, DA16

Place Name

Named after John Olyffe, an Alderman of London, who held the Manor of East Wickham during Elizabeth I’s reign. When he died in 1577 the manor was passed through the marriage of his only heir and daughter to John Leigh, Esq. of Addington.
