Place Name
Named after the Rhodes family’s Lamb Farm Estate, which was originally purchased by Samuel Rhodes I in 1788-9. Large-scale development began on the land at the west end of Dalston Lane, along the high road, from 1807. Among the roads that developer Robert Sheldrick laid out were Dalston Terrace in 1813 and 1816.
