Knoll Rise, BR6

Place Name

Descriptive. Knoll comes from Old English meaning a small hill or mound. Until development this area was used for hop fields on the Mayfield estate. Following the death of owner William Vinson in 1905, they began to be built over in 1908, the area was quickly known as the Knoll estate.
