Place Name
Elizabeth Hewison was a Liberal councillor for St James’s Ward in Bethnal Green between 1982 and 1986. The street was named after her sometime in the 1990s. It was originally the southern half (from Roman Road to the junction with Tredegar Road) of Armagh Road.
