Honouring Evelyn Joyce Denington, Baroness Denington (August 9, 1907 – August 22, 1998), who was chair of the Greater London Council from 1975 – 1976. Between 1973 and 1975 she served as chair of the transport committee, establishing free bus passes for pensioners and stopping the construction of urban motorways in London.
