Randall Thomas Davidson, 1st Baron Davidson of Lambeth, (April 7, 1848 – May 25, 1930) served as Archbishop of Canterbury from 1903 to 1928. Like many of the nearby roads it is named after former archbishops of Canterbury, who used Croydon Palace and later Addington Palace Mansion as a summer residence.
