Place Name
Remembering an old name of the Danson Estate which was first recorded as both Densynton and Dansington in the late 13thCentury. It is thought the name may have come from a former landowner and farmer called Denesige. By 1327 the name had mutated to become Danston and eventually, sometime around 1762, to its present name, Danson.
