Cullum Street, EC3M

Place Name

Named after Thomas Cullum who died in 1664 at age 77. He was a draper, alderman and, in 1646, Sheriff of London, who owned land here. Originally from Suffolk, he made his fortune in the capital and later became the Lord of the manor of Hawstead and Hardwick.
