Place Name

Named for the Cubitt family who did much to change the face of London including in Belgravia, Pimlico and Victoria, Kings Cross and Cubitt Town in the first half of the 19thCentury. It is one of a cluster of streets named after major architects, no doubt attempting to suggest greatness by association on behalf of the developers. Others in the cluster include Wren Landing, Adam’s Place and Nash Place.
