Cricket Ground Road, BR7

Place Name

Literal this road runs alongside the cricket ground which is part of Chislehurst Common. The lord of the manor granted the West Kent Cricket Club permission to use the ground in 1822 after its former fields in Bromley had been lost as a result of enclosure of Bromley Common. It has been used as a cricket ground ever since. It later merged with the Chislehurst Cricket Club. The pavilion was built in 1898.
