Place Name
This was part of the Abraham Estate which was built during the Great House Estate development. At one time it was thought to have been Essex Hall which was partly built by JG Abraham of Stroud Green with the intention of renting out the properties. Clearly searching for inspiration it is said that the head of the land company developing the estate asked two juniors in the office for their first names and hence named Claude Road and Francis Road after them.
