Place Name
This was an addition to the St Helier’s estate being developed on land abutting the railway line sometime in the late 1980s. So unlike many of the streets on the wider estate this is not named after an abbey or a monastery. Instead it is quite literal, there was a small clump of, presumably, birch trees here.
