Place Name
Named in July 1971 after the Reverend Canon Ernest Barton Beard, vicar of St Andrew’s, Ham, from 1931 until his death in 1966. He was honorary canon of Southwark from 1957, and Chaplain to HM Borstal Reception Centre, Latchmere House, from 1946.
