Archway Street, SW13

Place Name

Literal, a reference to the archway that was build at the street’s eastern end  to preserve the ancient right of way, across what had been agricultural land, along Thorne Passage under a section of railway known as the Barnes curve, which was constructed in 1862 to link the Richmond and Hounslow lines.
