Place Name
So named as it lies on the west side of the nearby Pymmes Brook, a small tributary of the River Lea. This is one of a small cluster of streets that bear the name Westbrook; Westbrook Square also runs off Westbrook Crescent. There is no corresponding Eastbrook on the other side of the brook.
