Quite literal. This is a secluded private development of five four storey flats which enclose a garden. The street adopted the name of the development. The name may also reference the first company used by King’s College, Cambridge, to develop their Ruislip land, which was called the Garden Estates Company. Either way, this is a suitable name for leafy suburbia.
