Place Name
Something of a joke name – although possibly not for the people who live there. Thetis was a Greek goddess, mother of Achilles, who as the leader of the Nereids, a band of sea-nymphs lived largely under the water. Given the terrace’s location so close to the River Thames and liable to flood, the name would appear appropriate.
