Place Name
Named in honour of Olympian Charlotte Susan Jane Dujardin (born July 13, 1985), the most successful British dressage rider in the history of the sport and the winner of all major titles and world records in the sport, who was born in Enfield. She won gold medals in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. The road was laid out as part of the Alma Estate regeneration programme as part of the Electric Quarter development, and the properties were Enfield Council’s first council homes in decades. Construction in partnership with Lovell Partnerships Ltd started in January 2015 and was due to be completed in Autumn 2016 but was not finished until early 2017. The houses were designed by Karakusevic Carson Architects with Maccreanor Lavington and were built on cleaned up brownfield land previously occupied by Ponders End Gasworks.
