Place Name
This road, laid out on the site of a former railway yard, was named after local authority officer, Alan Hocken, who was employed as the Deputy Director of Engineering and Surveying and Deputy Director of Leisure Services for Newham Council. The road leads on to Jack Clow Road and Tom Nolan Close, both named after former Mayors of the council.
