Place Name
Named after the well-connected Henry Herbert, earl of Pembroke (1538 – January 19, 1601), and one time owner of Aldersbroke manor, although it would appear only for a very short while before it passed to Nicholas Fuller. Herbert was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge. His aunt was Catherine Parr, the last wife of Henry VIII.
