Place Name
Named after John de Kemsing and his wife Idonea (also spelt Idonia) who took ownership of Norbury Manor at Easter 1229 from Peter de Bendings or Bedenges on their wedding. The couple sold the manor in 1230 to Geoffrey de Frowik.
