Place Name
Named after the Grade II listed property Oak Lodge which still stands, this was built on half of Riddle Meadow when it was sold off from the Langley Estate in 1820. It was previously known as Wickham Hatch with access via a thatched lodge that was demolished to make way for St David’s Close. Oak Lodge overlooks Blake Recreation Ground, part of the 70 acres that originally went with the house.
