Place Name
Named after Henry Martin Harvey, who was a churchwarden of St John’s the Baptist Church, Leytonstone, who lived with his wife Dorothy Anne in a house on whose grounds this road is built. The section between Stanmore Road and Bushwood was renamed Leyspring Road before 1911. The eastern end of the road was replaced in 1951 with council flats.
