Place Name
Named, unsurprisingly enough, because of the proximity of its northeastern end to Epping Forest. Built over Cross Path Field and the The Long Field sometime from around 1882 on land that was once owned by Stratford Langthorne Abbey, and developed by the Goodman family of builders from 1881. Originally called Forest Drive, renamed Forest Drive East and Forest Drive West in 1893.
