Place Name
Built in 1907 leading to Deanhill House, which was knocked down in 1933 and was replaced for a time by a tennis racket factory, which also produced matches and powder puffs. The site is now occupied by Deanhill Court. The name Deanhill is a contraction of Deane’s Hill. Who Deane was has been lost.
