Unsurprisingly, this was laid out over a former coach house. It was originally the coach house to Atherton Grange and was built in 1820. Subsequently converted into an individual residence in the 1930s and “more recently modernized and refurbished,” according to the The Times, June 20, 1984. The land was sold by local developer John Augustus Beaumont, and this road was developed in 1967.
