Place Name
Like Baker’s Row, named after Richard Baker, a carpenter from St Pancras who leased the land from a Robert Warner. Warner inherited his father’s half share of the property when he died in 1721. Baker built the streets, which had been laid out by Robert and his fellow landowner Walter Baynes, over three years.
