Place Name
One of a cluster of streets named after Kent villages. Nurstead comes from the Old English hnutu meaning a nut and is combined with stede, a place, site, or locality, hence a nut place. Developers would often give new housing estates linked names. The others in the cluster are Ightham Road, Swanton Road, Plaxtol Road, Eastry Road, Luddesdon Road, and Shinglewell Road.
