Place Name
Part of the early 1980s Riverside Drive development which was laid out on either side of Locksmeade Road. All the names on the estate have a connection with the nearby lock, the river itself or occupations connected with it. The Tideway is that part of the River Thames which is subject to tides. This stretch of water is downstream from Teddington Lock. The Tideway comprises the upper Thames Estuary including the Pool of London.
