Waltham Forest Housing Action Trust used trees and plants as the inspiration for new streets in its redevelopment of the Oliver Close council estate which was developed between 1990 and 2001. This was laid out over former nurseries used for plants from the adjacent allotment gardens.Camellia’s are described by the Royal Horticultural Society as: “Among the most glamorous shrubs, camellias are upright or spreading, glossy-leaved evergreens.” Nearby streets on the estate include Alpine Way, Larch Road, Magnolia Close, Osier Way, Pine Close, Robinia Crescent, Tupelo Road, and Walnut Road.
