Place name
Alludes to the Roman Empire, Calabria is in the southern tip of mainland Italy. Like Baalbec Road and Liberia Road, this forms part of a small cluster of street names referencing provinces under the rule of the Romans. The developers are thought to have been influenced by the long held belief that a Roman camp had been at or near Highbury Hill. This road was laid out sometime around 1890.
