Taking its name from the traditional physical and mediative Indian practice which is connected with cause and effect and reincarnation. Following a survey carried out of road name changes between 2000 and 2010, Dr David Green, a geographer from King’s College London, told the Sunday Telegraph: “Street names reflect modern culture and society and preoccupations. They now also show a worldwide influence.” This was previously land behind the Odeon cinema, which itself was laid out on agricultural land belonging to Worcesterpark Farm.
