Remembering Catherine Griffiths (1885 – 1988), known as the last suffragette – when she died aged 103. She was the daughter of a Welsh miner and went on to become a founder of the Finsbury Women’s Committee in the 1920s. Her interest in politics did not end after women won the vote, she was a member of the Labour Party and became mayor of Finsbury in 1960.
