Directional. Both Forest Gate and Wanstead Park Station are nearby. Forest Gate opened in 1840 by Eastern Counties Railway, it closed down three years later. But after presssure from local residents it reopened on May 31, 1846. Wanstead Park Station opened on July 9, 1894 by the Tottenham and Forest Gate Railway and it was this expansion that supported the development of Forest Gate.
