Place Name
Originally part of Faraday Road up until 1899 when 1 to 10 Faraday Cottages, in consecutive order became 2 to 20 Sidmouth Road even. The name is said to have been chosen by Simon Westcott, then Surveyor to Leyton Council, because he came from Devonshire.
