Place Name
After Sir William Calvert (1703 – May 3, 1761), an Alderman and later Lord Mayor of London, who lived at Mount Mascal. From 1755 to 1761 he was MP for the Rotten Borough of Old Sarum. His sister Honoria married Thomas Tash of Vale Mascal. His cousins Sir Richard Calvert and Felix Calvert lived at Hall Place, and Mayplace, Crayford respectively.
