As the name implies this road was built over the former Selhurst reservoir containing 2,500,000 gallons of water. It was built in 1861 by Lambeth Water Company. The road was formed in 2000.

I was wondering if you had any more information regarding the selhurst reservoir on what is now Reservoir Close, how long was it in use for and when did they start having plans to discard the reservoir and build over it?
