Place Name
Named after successful local developer, Sir Isaac Wilson who in 1928 gifted the Wilson Cottage Hospital to the local community and the Mitcham Garden Village for elderly people of moderate means. He also paid for the Cumberland Hospital in his native county. The Mitcham medical unit closed in 1990.
