Place Name
This ancient thoroughfare that is thought to have been the main route to St. Mary Cray, is one of the oldest known street names in Chislehurst. It was mentioned in documents as early as 1666 after a property, Holbrook House, that stood at the St. Paul’s Cray Road end until it was knocked down sometime around 1960 and replaced by modern flats.
