Named after the birthplace of Elizabeth Margaret Blakeney who married local landowner and developer Albemarle Cator on April 24, 1834. Cator’s family held large tracts of land in Bromley since the 18thCentury. Elizabeth was born in Monivea, Ireland. Many of the surrounding roads are named after a connections with the Cator family and other prominent local figures. She died on February 14, 1892.
