Place Name

Named in honour of the long-serving monarch Queen Victoria (May 24, 1819 – January 22, 1901) who ascended to the throne on June 20, 1837, aged 18, on the death of her uncle William IV. Her reign of 63 years and seven months was longer than that of any of her predecessors. It was one of many roads commemorating her reign during which time London rapidly expanded.
