Place Name

Honouring Bernard Mandeville (November 15, 1670 – January 21, 1733), an Anglo-Dutch philosopher, political economist and satirist who lived and died in Hackney. Born in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, he lived most of his life in England and became famous for his satirical book The Fable of the Bees.
